Your Privacy

Depending on your circumstances, this may include information about your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, savings, investments, retirement arrangements, financial goals, dependants and financial protection.

We only ask for information relevant to your assessment. Where a question does not apply to you, you will not be required to provide that information. Where permitted, you may also tell us that you do not know an answer.

We use your information to:

• create and maintain your SheInvestor financial record;
• calculate your financial position and financial metrics;
• generate and update your Executive Financial Dashboard;
• support the financial assessment and related services you request from SheFinance;
• maintain the security, integrity and proper operation of the SheFinance platform; and
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We will not use your financial information to create unrelated marketing profiles or sell your personal information.

SheInvestor uses automated calculations and financial methodologies to analyse the information you provide and generate your Dashboard.

As additional SheInvestor functionality becomes available, automated analysis may also be used to identify financial areas that may warrant your attention.

These outputs are intended to help you understand your financial position. They do not by themselves constitute a recommendation to purchase, sell or use a particular financial product or service.

Your information is not public.

It may be processed by authorised SheFinance personnel and service providers that support the operation, hosting, security and maintenance of the SheFinance platform, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements.

We may also disclose information where required by law or a lawful regulatory or governmental request.

We will not disclose your financial information to financial-product providers, advisers or other commercial partners for their own marketing or sales purposes unless there is an appropriate legal basis and you have been informed as required.

Some technology providers supporting SheFinance may process or store information outside Kenya. Where personal data is transferred outside Kenya, SheFinance will apply the safeguards required by applicable Kenyan data-protection law.

SheFinance uses appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

No digital system can guarantee absolute security, but protecting the confidentiality and integrity of your financial information is a core part of how SheFinance is designed.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable legal, regulatory, security and record-keeping requirements.

Subject to applicable law, you have rights concerning your personal data, including the right to be informed about its use, to access your personal data, to object to certain processing, to request correction of false or misleading information and to request deletion where applicable.

You may update much of the financial information in your SheInvestor account directly.

Providing information for the SheInvestor assessment is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide information required for a particular calculation or assessment, SheFinance may be unable to calculate that part of your financial position. Where this happens, we will indicate that the information or measurement is unavailable or incomplete rather than treating missing information as zero.

SheFinance is responsible for the personal information collected through SheInvestor.
